[Brd̜erbund WFT Vol. 12, Ed. 1, Tree #4041, Date of Import: 22 Jun 1998]Tempe Cemetery Association certificate number 453 dated April 4, 1939 for 2 plots in Lot 2, Block 1, Section 4. Now called Double Buttes Cemetery, on East Broadway Road in Phoenix, Arizona.
When he sold the farm in Illinois and moved to Arizona, he and Katie went by daughter Alice's house in East St. Louis, Illinois and gave her a kitchen utility table with a marble top. Mom, Alice, wrote on the side of one of the drawers, "FOLKS WENT WEST, MAY 30, 1930."
Grandson Dick Edwards still has that table. (1997)
Albert loaded all their belongings in a huge "boxcar" that he pulled behind a Model A Ford Sedan. Dick EdwardsI donated a picture of them beside that "boxcar" to the Arizona Historical Society.
When Katie died, Albert needed to be married to stay in the low rent apartment on 20th Street in Phoenix Arizona. He contacted a Mrs. Miller and married her. He always called her "Mrs. Miller." When he died, she had to move out.
