Lydia E. EVERLY

                        Obituary
                  Mrs. Lydia Foster
    Lydia E. Everly, daughter of William and Hannah Everly, was born in Daviess Co., MO, Sept. 11, 1856, where she was reared to the age of 17 years.  She was united in marriage to R. T. Foster on December 25, 1873, and to this union three chidlren were born, Ollie who departed this life seven years ago, Allen, of Heber, Cal., and Charley, who resided with his mother at teh old home.  Her husband preceded her in death ten years.  Also three sisters.  She leaves a brother, Charles Everly, of Gallatin.
    At an early age in life she gave her heart to God and united with the Baptist Church and was a faithful member until death.  To know Aunt Lydia was to love her.  She had been expressing the desire to be relieved of this life that she might go to be with God. She will be sadly missed in our church and community but we can praise God that her suffering is over.
    Weep not that her toils are over,
    Weep not that her race is run;
    God grant we may rest as calmly
    When our work like hers is done.
    Yet again we hope to meet her
    When the day of life is fled,
    When in Heaven in joy we'll greet
    her
    Where no farewell tear is shed.

Funeral services were held at the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Tuesday afternoon, July 26, conducted by Rev. C. E. Sharrah, of Chillicothe.
