From Leesburg Commercial Ledger, Jan. 22 1955 obituary in Ann Haney files:
died at age 89; burial at Lone Oak Cemetery; Children: Paul A. MILLER,
Leesburg; Eben MILLER, Leesburg; R. M. MILLER, Miami; J. Arthur MILLER,
Chicago; Mrs. Mary CORLEY, Jacksonville. Birthdate August 19, 1865 at Pontotoc.
Spent early years there and attended school in Starke [Starkville} where he
was when his parents moved to Leesburg because of his mother's ill health. Mr.
MILLER came to Florida later and remained with his family because of the death
of his father there. Married Margaret Ann MILAM in 1886 and had 10 children
(only five survived him). Wife died 1939. First business in Floride was
grocery store at Sumpterville, bought out interest of associate and moved
business to Leesburg (in Miller block). retired and devoted himself to
gardening and fern raising. At one time member of local town council in
Leesburg. served several terms on school board. Member of Morrison Methodist
church.

Came to Leesburg in the spring of 1886, and two years later (June 5, 1888)
married Miss Alice LEE, daughter of the late J. C. LEE.
Was for a number of years a member of the city council of Leesburg and for
one term its president.
