"WILEY A Pickens was a grocery and meat market storeowner in the 1930s. He
also ran a small truck line from Memphis, TN to Ripley, MS This was in the
days of The Great Depression and lack ready cash
bankrupted him. He moved his family to a farm and farmed for 10 years. He and
first wife (Maybelie Drummond) had two children.
Wiley was an excellent carpenter and practiced that until his death."
