Good Evening Good Cousin Laryy, Here's some of my family names, history, etc. Father= Lyle Monroe Miller, born 2-17-08 near Wolf Creek, MT; died, spring '79, Colbert, WA; his father= James (Edgar?) Miller; his mother Mary Matthison-Miller, born, I think, in Aroostock, ME.I have some birth records stored at my home in Lebanon. On my G'Ma Mary Miller's family side is last name of Hersey and I believe they came from New Brunswick, CA. When I return home I can give you some of their birth dates/places, some siblings, and parents, perhaps grandparents. My paternal G'Fa's name, as I already told you, was Zebulon, probably born in MO. You likely have info on my mother, Ross's oldest sister; she was Cora Lynn Hiatt-Miller, born Arlee, Mt 12-11-13. She married my father 9-18-32. I have no siblings. Father had 3 bros: Harold A, James, and William; had 1 sister who died very young, and I cannot currently remember her name; dad had one other sister, Floy. My dad was oldest. Ross has likely given you all the Hiatt, Rentfro, and Curtis branches of the family. He likely knows little about the Stidham branch, and I have told you about all I know of Capt. Joseph Stidham. After my mother passed away in '84 I came across a letter from a Mr. Stidham (I think??) of the area of Richmond, IND. My mom had evidently contacted him, and he was a family relative. I will try to find that letter when I return home. Also in my mother's papers I found a yellowed newspaper clipping, from the 1940's, if I remember correctly. It was titled "Oregon's Oldest Cowboy" and was about a man with last name of Hiatt. I have not looked at the clipping in many a year, and remember few details. I believe that Hiatt lived last in Lebanon, OR--where I now reside. Right near my home is a street named "Hiatt." You may know something about this Hiatt. I will have to find the news clipping to determine his given name. We are moving to another RV park tomorrow, but I will get my Happy Sabbath email out, late afternoon around sundown.I would be glad to explore with you possibilities for your son's Eagle Scout project. Blessings on you, cm

                                                            IN MEMORIAM

I Lived in heaven more than six and forty years,
And a queen of the Angels was there;
But a Messenger came and took her way,
And left me alone, in despair.

I ask him to let her stay longer with me,
For I could  not be happy alone,
But he said the Master was calling for her,
As her work on the earth was done.

I pleaded again for him  to let her stay
Until the Master called me to come,
Then we could make the  journey together
Without breaking our earth-heaven home.

“But her mission is finished,”again he said ;
“Her reward we must not longer delay’’;
Then he gently placed a crown on her head,
And they silently  flew  away.

Then in the depths of my troubled soul,
It seemed that she whispered to me;
“Weep not, my dear, wipe away every tear,
We’ll renew our heaven in eternity.”

And now when alone in our broken home,
Reflecting on memory’s scene,
I  long to hear the Master say,”come,
And rejoin, in Heaven, thy queen’’-

“Renew that heaven, she whispered to thee
When the Messenger took her away,---
That Heaven in Heaven, from suffering free,---
A heaven through Eternity.’’
