A genealogy on this family branch is being compiled by Kent Linscott, Access Road Box 38, Williamston, W.Va. 26187
We received a letter with some information concerning this lineage from Kent Linscott Sept. 20, 1992 as a response from a letter of inquiry which we had sent him.
He writes: "The information on the Kidwells enclosed is the very basic cut and dry birth, death and marriage type of compilation. I have recently purchased a genealogy software and will eventually input the work of my mother and myself on this new system, before we just used a wordprocessor."Capon Valley 1698 to 1940 by Maud Pugh.
Lorenza and Elizabeth were married by Rev. Samuel Clawson, a Methodist minister, and removed to Wirt County, about 1866.
At his death he was the oldest member of the Order of Masons in Wirt County, both in point of years and membership, Lodge No. 82. He was a Christian without being a member of any church. Mr. Kidwell was a man of good standing in her fraternity and community and was devoted to his family. He was buried on his farm.References:(1) Capon Valley; vol. ii, page 133.
