Isaiah H. HORNADAY

Served with the 3rd Co., 2nd Orange Reg't Commanded by Capt. John Stockard
in the War of 1812.  He was a trustee at the Hebron Church.  Isaiah was
apprenticed to Richard Thompson at the age of 4 to learn the trade of
blacksmith.   "The Hornadays-Root and Branch" chap. XVIII.


Nancy THOMPSON

After the death of Isaiah in  1839, Nancy married John L. Littell on 10 April
1843.

Married Nancy Tuell 13 Nov. 1836. 2nd Marr. to Mary Ann Denny Grimes.

John M. HORNADAY

Married on 22 Jan. 1835.  Wife Unknown.  7 chil.

Married Emery Crow 24 Dec. 1837.

Married James Crow 7 Feb. 1842.

Lawrence may be the child of  a second marriage or a Grandchild.

Married Francis M. Hobbs.  2nd Marr. to Clarence Hendrick (1st Cousins).

Eli Corwin HORNADAY

Married Catherine Elizabeth Meadors 3 Sep. 1840.  9 chil.
Eli remained with h is parents and assisted them on the farm until 1841,
when he b egan working for himself.  He rented land for two years and them
purchased eighty acres of land.  By his untiring industry he has increased
his farm to 1,200 acres.  He was not a soldier in the war buy rendered good
service in raising troops and supplying money to aid the cause of the Union.
He belonged to the Republican party and cast his first vote for Van Buren.
He and his wife were members of the Methodist Episcopal Church.


Catherine Elizabeth MEADOWS

Eli C. Hornaday is brother to Ruthinda,  wife of Jas. C. Meadows. RIN 246.
