Dear Cousin Goldiee:
Oct. 1, 1970
I wrote you several weeks ago. Telling you about our good fortune in
finding out our long time neighbor was related to us, and havign heard nothing
from you have wondered if you received the letter, or if you have been ill.
Would like to have a note from you when you can write.
I guess I told you uncle Levi's daughter & granddaughter are neighbors of
oiurs and it was such a surprise to find them cousins.
Also some information about the Samuel & Sabina Forney's. We are having
somee family (Teeter) charts made and could send you one if you wish.
As ever your cousin
Virgil
P.S. Got a bit of info on the Birdsley Side but sure need more on the Teeters
and Ellen Poe.
Much love Us up here at B'hani
Teeter, Everett L.
Country Cts. addn. Moline, Ill.Teeter, Kenneth L. (Ben Tilton nephew to Jac Teeter)
2204 12th St.
Rock Island, Ill.Do any of these ring a bell? We got them from the Illinois phone
directory. Also got an address of a Donald Birdsley, East Moline, Ill. She
called us long distance and wrote a letter. They are our relatives.Pearl
Give this chart to Lorraine, she can get a lot of information for the
family tree. This chart shows the descendants of Catherine (Whetstone) (Davis)
and Jacob Teeeter and the one we sent beforee shows the descendats of
Cathreeine's daughter, Elizabeth (Davis) and Jacob B. Teeter. (You see
Cathereine was the mother of Elizabeth and after her husbands death she married
Jacob Teeter and they had a son, Jacob William. Elizabeth & Jacob William had
the same mother but different fathers. --- making them half brother & sister.
We still need to find moree about Ellen Poe's parents and where Jacob
William is buried. (Also date of his death) Ellen Poe is buried in Pine Creek
Cemetery, Ogle Co., Grand De Tour, Ill. Died Oct 14, 1891, age 72.
Does anyone know anything about Ellen Poe's half sister?
We sent for the death record but have wondered if Jacob William lived with
some of the children after her death.
Will keep searching. Write & give us all the news. You & Lorraine have
Love Winnie
