Cryptside funeral services for Mrs. Ethel M. Anderson, 92, of Nampa, who
died Monday, March 28, 1988, at a Nampa Care center will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday April 1, at the Building of Reverence, Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. The Reb. Donn Mogford, pastor of the Nampa Bretheran Baptist Church will officiate. Friends are asked to meet at the cemetery. Services are under the direction of the Alsip Funeral Chapel, Nampa.
Mrs. Anderson was born March 28, 1896, in a covered wagon to Jess and
Amelia Shaw Hiatt. The family was enroute to the Wind River Indian Reservation in Wyoming where her father was to be a Mormon Missionary to the Indians. In 1900 the family moved by covered wagon to the Umatilla Reservation in Oregon. Her early schooling was in Milton-Freewater, Ore. They later moved to Union, Ore., where she completed her schooling and learned the millinery trade. In 1918 she came to Nampa and was in charge of the millinery and silk stocking department of the Robert's Department Store. She married Harold D. Anderson July 6, 1927, in Cour D'Alene and they made their home in Nampa, where they had since resided.
She is survived by her husband, Harold of Nampa, and a neice.
