Larry Anderson - Families and Individuals

Notes

Joseph CATLIN

Killed in the Indian massacre at Deerfield MA.  His wife Hannah survived or escaped.

Hannah SHELDON

Hannah's death date is ambiguously given as 9-7-13-1764, so I suppose it was between Sep 7 and Sep 13 of that year, although other, less likely, interpretations are possible.

John CATLIN

John was captured but not killed in the Deerfield Indian massacre of 1704.  He was taken to Canada, but returned in 1706.  He was housewright and rope maker.  He built his house on the site where his father's house had been burned in the massacre.

Abigail CATLIN

Abigail did not marry.

Ebenezer CORSE

A sergeant, probably British, probably stationed in the CT area.

Nathaniel CLARK

Either Nathaniel was from Southampton, MA, Nathaniel and Hannah were married there, or, of course, both.

Hannah SHELDON

Hannah's death date is ambiguously given as 9-7-13-1764, so I suppose it was between Sep 7 and Sep 13 of that year, although other, less likely, interpretations are possible.
