Infromation sent by Ruby Hiatt, Frank and Mollie had no children.
Sent by Ruby Hiatt of Nebraska City, Neb. in 1984. Mollie was the
original researcher who deserves much of the credit for the base of genealogy
done on our Hiatt families springing from Jesse Hiatt and Mary Ann Proctor.
Her work laid the foundation for all further work and preserved much of the
history which would have been lost without her efforts.
See William P. Johnson for correspondence with William Perry Johnson in preparation for the Hiatt book. Without the efforts of this pioneer in our family history, we would not have had the preservation of what we now have. From the Plattsmoth Journal June 5, 1969
Guests of Mollie C. Gobelman over the weekend were Mr. and Mrs. John
Ferguson of Dallas, PA. Mrs. Ferguson is the former Helen Hiatt, relative of
Mrs. Gobelman.
They visited distant relatives at Sidney, Iowa Saturday and on Sunday
attended the Joe Hiatt family picnic at Glenwood, Iowa.
Their mission in Fremont and Mills County was looking up the Genealogy of
the Hiatt families who were the earliest settlers of Fremont County, Iowa.
