Good afternoon, Larry. I hope today finds your family well and in good spirits. I don't know how much record you keep of the Shields' family but I wanted to tell you that Margaret Bettis Shields died on Sept 10, 2013. She was the youngest daughter of Robert Silas Shields. I hope to get renewed interest and follow up on the small beginning that I have with making a family tree. There was so much information that I thought my head would explode and I began to get migraines from reading on the computer all day. I really admire your dedication to research, reading and scanning for 16-18 hrs a day. My children's paternal grandfather researched their history and had a book printed for all the relatives. I don't dream that big but I'd like to have something on a smaller scale that so my kids have information from our side, too. I'm very sad not to have the pictures, letters or even anecdotes that other families have been able to obtain. I hope to get my office organized so I am able to research without distractions.
