William DUNNAGAN (DOAS)

1820 census would indicate William Dunagan was in Franklin, Williamson County, Tennessee.

Reported to have served under General Andrew Jackson during the War of 1812 in the Battle of Horseshoe Bend.

Actually, the Battle of Horseshoe Bendtook place March 24, 1814 near the Creek Indian village on Horseshoe Bend of the Tallapoosa River, near present day Alexander City, Alabama.

A treaty had been signed that ended the war, but Jackson was not aware of it.
