Jason Frank WHITAKER

Entered service CSA 1 Nov 1863.  He was taken prisoner 6 Apr 1865 at Farmville, VA and was a POW  at Point Lookout, MC, until he took the Oath of Allegiance 21 Jun 1865.  Pvt. Co B 2nd Battalion NC
 Jason and wife moved to Boone , AR, and remained there the rest of their life.


Levi WHITAKER

Volunteered at Surry 10 Aug 1861.  He was taken prisoner 8 Feb 1862 at Roanoke Island, NC and received a parole 21 Feb 1862 at  Elizabeth City, NC.  He was taken prisoner again 20 May 1864 at Spotsylvania Court House, VA and was a POW at PointLookout, MC and at Elmira, NY.  There he took the Oath of Allegiance 17 May 1865.  Pvt. Co B 2nd Battalion, NC


Ephriam NICHOLSON

Was a school teacher in 1860.  Volunteered 5 Jun1861 at Dobson.  Cpl Co H 21 Reg NC
