James HIATT

Information from Donald Hiatt, Marshalltown, Iowa.  Was living with Elwood
Hiatt on his farm when he died.  He had a infected foot so they removed his
foot and he died from gangreen.  He grew a long beard in the winter time and
sat by the fire, he always shaved it off in the summer.  He hurt his back and would walk with 2 canes, but he still did jobs that most people thought would be to hard for him to do.
