Olive (Eager) Landon was married for 61 years to her loving husband Lyman when she died at the home of her son, Lowell Landon on Rt. 423 (2 miles south) of Marion. The Landons spent all of their married life in Marion county. She was born in Grand Prairie Twp. to James and Sarah (Drake) Eager, also natives of the county. She was the last of the 6 children in her family. She was a member of the Morral Methodist Church. Her son, Charles Landon was killed in WWI while serving in Company D of Marion. She was survived by her husband, and 5 children: Mrs. C.E. Shepherd, Mrs. Homer D. Cole, Lowell Landon,(all of Marion), Fred M. Landon of Sunbury Pa, Ola N. Landon of Williamsport Pa, 6 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Funeral was at L. L. Axe Funeral Home on Mt. Vernon Av. Service conducted by Elder L.V.Hite of the Primitive Baptist Church at Brush Ridge.
