HENRY WILLIAM BRADOFORD was born in Sciotoville, Scioto County, Ohio, on 15 April 1866, son of Henry Cole and Sarah Elizabeth (Fenton) Bradford.

Myrtle Virginia Bradford died of a cancer 5 May 1916 buried section 9, Lot 229 Greenlawn Cemetery Portsmouth. After his retirement from the shoefactory, Henry Bradford lived with his son Clay, and daughter, Mrs. Alice Ridenour. He died at his daughters home of cerebral hemorrhage on 1948 and is buried in Rosemont Cemetery, Clay Township, Scioto County, Ohio.

Anderson, John V. was born 7 April 1838 in Columbiana County, Ohio, son of Archie Anderson born Kentucky. John V. Anderson died 18 March 1923 at home of his son Francis in Nauvoo, Scioto County, Ohio buried Stockdale, Pike County, Ohio. He married 27 July 1865 to Martha Jane Bennett, born 5 October 1844 near Harrisonville, Scioto County, Ohio daughter of William H. Bennett and Elizabeth C. Beauchamp. John was a carpenter by trade and he and his wife were member of the Methodist Episcopal Church.
Prior to his marriage John V. Anderson enlisted in the War of the Rebellion on 18 August 1862 at Portsmouth, Ohio by Lt. Regnier for a term of three years. He was 24 years old at that time, 5'1 1/2" height, blue eyes, light hair. He served as private in the 18th Independent Battery, Ohio Light Artillery, with his battery being mustered into U.S. service at Camp Portsmouth, Ohio on 13 September 1862, by J. Beall, U.S. Army Mustering Officer.
His unit served in battle at Thompson Station, Teen. on 4/5 March 1863 and Franklin and Harpeth River, Tenn. 10 April 1863. On 23 April 1863. John was promoted to Corporal by Capt. W. C. Aleshire, Commanding. Further action was Guy's Gap and Shelbyville, Tenn. 27 June 1863, Chickamauga, Ga. 19/20 September 1863 and Lookout Mountain, Tenn. 24 Nov. 1863, where the union forces sustained 16,000 casualties. On June 9, 1864 John was promoted to Artificer by Joseph C. Ea, Vice Commanding. They went to fight the Battle of Nashville, Tenn. 15/16 December 1864.
John was mustered out 29 June 1865 at Camp Dennison, Ohio by Capt. Aleshire. He was paid $25.00, with $75.00 still due him at discharge.

It indicated this post office address as Flat, Pike County, Ohio. He was receiving $72.00 per month pension at his death 18 March 1923. He and his wife are buried at Stockdale, Pike County, Ohio Cemetery.
John and Martha Jane Anderson lived most of their life in Pike County after their marriage, near Stockdale, Ohio. They moved to 1909 17th Street, Portsmouth, Ohio. Later, John was living with his son, Francis W., when he died in 1923.
