Lewis Mixer BACON

Louis was a very prominent man in the life of Oskaloosa. He served many terms as Justice of the Peace, elected on the Democratic Ticket. He is of that turn of character that he pleases his opponents as well as his constituents. In neighborliness he is unselfish and very thoughtful of his friends. He lives such a life that he is an honor to his city and to humanity in general. This name, Louis Mixer, was in honor of a relative, an early citizen of Marietta, Ohio, and a tinsmith by trade.
