Lena Eager
Mrs. Lena Eager, 72, who had lived with a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Clara Eager, route 4 Bryan, died Monday evening in the Bryan Nursing Home.
Mrs. Eager was born June 9, 1896, in Williams COunty, the daughter of Elgie and Myrtle (Partee) Myers. She was married to Mike Eager, who died in 1962. A son, Dick, also preceded her in death in 1960.
A lifelong resident of the area, she was a member of the First Church of Christ and the Bryan American Legion Auxillary.
Surviving are three brothers; Homer Myers, of Greenville, Wayne Myers, of Paulding, and Dalton Wiford, of Toledo; and a sister, Mrs. Dale (Adaline) Ridenour, of Ypsilanti, Mich.; and the daughter-in-law.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in the Cretors Funeral Home with the Rev. Lowell Jackson, Pastor of the First Church of Christ, officiating. Burial will be in the Fountain Grove Cemetery. Calling hours will be after 7 p.m. Wednesday.
