Services for Delbert W. Tuning, 43, Nampa, who died Tuesday at a Caldwell hospital will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the Greenleaf Friends Church under the direction of Dakan Chapel by the Rev. Gordon Bennett of Melba, Interment will be at Greenleaf Cemetery.
He was born July 5, 1929, in Greenleaf where he was reared and attended grade school and Greenleaf Friends Academy. He married Hazel Beeson April 20, 1950 at Caldwell. He farmed for several years, then worked as a mechanic for the past eight years. For the last two years he was employed by Kondo Farms of Nampa. He was a lifetime member of the Friends Church, and a member of the Melba Friends Church.
Survivors are his wife, Nampa; a son, Kermit W. Tuning, Nampa; two daughters, Eilene Tuning, Nampa, and Karen Martin, Caldwell; his mother Glenna Tuning, Greenleaf; a brother Gerald Tuning, Hermiston, Oregon, and a sister, Sylvia Littlefield, Tigard, Oregon. He was preceded in death by his father, Harlen E. Tuning. The family suggests memorials to the Melba
Friends Church building fund.

A memorial service was held at 10:30 a,m, Friday, June 4, 1999, in Newberg Friends Church for Cyrus Littlefield who died May 30, at age 74.
Mr Littlefield was born August 28, 1924, in Stafford, Kansas, and was raised in Liberal, Kansas. During World War ll, he served in the U.S. Navy in the South Pacific. After the war, he attended Pacific College in Newberg. He was a sheet metal worker for Tektronix for 13 years, then worked in medical equipment manufacturing for National Appliance Company until retiring in 1988. He had been a Tigard resident for 28 years and moved to Newberg when he retired. In 1948, he married Coila Evans, they later divorced. He married Sylvia Tuning in 1960.
Survivors include his wife, sons; Douglas of Sunnyvale, California, Dennis of Rockaway Beach and Craig of Anaconda, Montana, daughters; Diana Hatcher of Oak View, California, and Sally Strait of Aumsville; brothers, Leslie of Glendale, Arizona, and Fred of Glen Elder, Kansas, sister, Dorothy Terrel of Fort Collins, Colorado, and 11 grandchildren.
Private interment will be in Newberg Friends Cemetery. The family suggests remembrances to Ned's Adult Day Care in Newberg or Rock of Age Mennonite Home in McMinnville. Arrangements are by Attrell's Newberg Chapel
