R. M. Lightfoot
Raymond Merl Lightfoot, 43, 1706 W. 9th St. an employe of the Indiana
-Michigan Electric Co. for 21 years, died Sunday afternoon at Ball Hospital
after an illness of eight months.
The Rev. Randall Corkern, pastor of the Walnut St. Baptist Church, will
conduct services in the Meeks Mortuary at 1:30 pm Wednesday. Burial will be in Elm Ridge Cemetery. Friends may call at the mortuary after 2 pm Tuesday.
Mr. Lightfoot was born in Eaton, the son of Elmer and Rella Crozier
Lightfoot and came to Muncie as a child with his parents. he attended Harrison School and was graduated from Central High School in 1929. He was a member of the Walnut St. Church and the Moose Lodge.
Surviving are his widow, Dorotha, two daughters, Mrs. Deloris Woods and
Mrs. Mary Ellen Hayes; his stepmother, Mrs. Blanche Lightfoot, a halfsister,
Miss Linda Lee; two stepsisters, Mrs. Marimarie Shultz and Mrs. David Summers; a stepbrother, Leonard Janney, and three grandchildren, Diana Lynn Hayes and Curtis Dirwin and Terry Ray Woods all of Muncie.
