Ward E. Goodrich
Ward E Goodrich, 58, of Tridell, passed away on July 6, 2001, at the Cottonwood Hospital in Salt Lake City, of complications related to leukemia. He was born December 3, 1942, in Vernal, to Forrest Odra and Persia Ethel McConkie Goodrich. He married Delila Bodily on August 14, 1964, in the Salt Lake Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.Ward enjoyed chess, playing basketball, and camping. He was a school bus driver for the Uintah County School District for 12 years. He was an avid fan of the New York Yankees. He served as an LDS Missionary in the Eastern States Mission. He held various church positions, and was in Scouting for many years. He was proud of all of his children and would often brag about them. He especially enjoyed filling his grandchildren's pockets with candy. He will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him.He is survived by his wife, Delila, Tridell; children, Shannon Goodrich, Dugway; Troy Goodrich, Tridell; Jayson (Susan) Goodrich, Vernal; Laron Goodrich, Tridell; Rochelle Goodrich, Salt Lake City; Mariel (Steve) Rich, Vernal; Jarilyn (Mike) White; Magna; Chip Goodrich, Salt Lake City; Benjamin (Deana) Goodrich, Edwin & Tarali Goodrich, all of Tridell; 6 grandchildren; brothers and sister, Reid (Joella) Goodrich, Bountiful; Jack (Ellen) Goodrich, WA;Tess (Boyd) Lemon, Ioka; and Larry (Lawanna) Goodrich, Roy.Preceded in death by his parents, a son, Cory Andrew, a grandchild, Steven Burnell Rich; brothers, Forrest and Bob, and sisters, Edna and Diane.Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Wednesday, July 11, 2001, at the Tridell Chapel of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Friends and family may call that morning at the church from 9:30 a.m. to 10:45 a.m.Interment in the Tridell Cemetery under the direction of the Hullinger Mortuary.
