Reuben Tipton is listed as one of the heirs of Reese Bowen Tipton in his will written the 13 th day of December 1827 in Wilson County, Tennessee he was around 17 years old at the time. Reuben's mother Lydia received the bulk of the estate with instructions to raise and school the children and see that each received an equal share of Reese Tipton's estate. Reiben was bondsman for the marriage of William Lillard to Polly Cocke in Wilson County, Tennessee in 1834. Reuben married a daughter of Webb Bloodworth ( unnamed) he had three daughters (under five) and a son (5-10) in the 1810 census of Wilson County, Tennessee (was sent marriage date of 30 Oct. 1839 but this does not fit with ages of the children unless Reuben had three wives??) Ms. Bloodworth's Will... The youngest child Mary Elizabeth Tipton evidently was raised by her grandparents Webb and Mary Bloodworth. Reuben sold 122 acres of land along with R. Eagan and wife Margaret Tipton Eagan as heirs of Reese Tipton to John F. Clay on the 17th of Oct 1839 in Wilson County, Tennessee. reuben tipton and John F. Clay witnessed an indenture dated 4 th of Feb. 1839 between George and Margaret Whitson to Sary Dukes. Reuben is living in Logan County, Kentcuky in 1850 with second wife Mary Green, two daughters from first marriage ( Malinda and Caroline) and sons from second marriage ( William and James H. ).
