"Fiend ater friends depart" is the mournfull history of humanity, but when that friend is a father and leaves a wife and children to morn his absence aside from parents and his immediate family, the blow seems unsually severe and the widow and father less children indeed are the ones who fell most keenly the absence of the natural support and protector. For nearly two weeks Robert L. Tipton suffered the effects of a raging fever when on October 30, 1914, death came to relieve his suffering.
His funeral was held November 1st. at the Colonial Hotel, the home of his father and mother, and a larger concourse of friends and neighbors followed his remains to lLakin Cemetery. Bob as he was familarly known to all who knew him, was born in Bates County, Missouri May 2, 1880. The funeral serson was preached by Rev. Gibbons of the Methodist Church. Aside from his immediate family and large number of relatives he has many friends who will deeply sympathise with them in there bereavement and he who death all things well, will support and sustain them in their affiction. He leaves a wife, four children, fatheer and mother, six brothers and three sister to mourn his death.
