a grandaughter of Elias Wester. Elias Wester was a Babtist.
Elder Elias Wester
Brother Elias Wester was born in Jefferson Co, EAST Tennessee, February24, 1803,
married Feb 8, 1823, to miss Keziah Boatman, of Grainger Co, and in thesame Co,
where he resided until his death, which occurred Oct 2,1872. He lift awife andnine children, most of whom are members of the church. His son,Daniel C is President of Bristol Female College.
Brother Wester joined the church at Blackwell's Branch in1834,received a letter
from that church,
and was one of the members in the constitution of the New ProspectChurch, in which
Church he lived untilland died. He was Licensed to preach April 3 1847and ordained
in 1850, in which he labored with success till his labors were over.
