David HAWKINS

There is no further information on this family, or on David, his parents, etc.  There is a David Hawkins mentioned in Historical Records of Old Frederick Co. Va. on pg. 32.  A Mary Kidwell married David Hawkins on Oct. 1825 in Hampshire Co., Va.  She was declared "insane" before 1849.  According to Order Book III, page 146, Circuit Court of Hampshire CO. Va, Mary was awarded a one - eleventh share of her father's estate.  The lands of John Kidwell were ordered to be sold.  The trustees were Nathaniel OFFUTT, Eli BEALE, Joseph KACKLEY, and John A. SMITH.  The latter court document was dated April 19, 1854, and I have yet to locate a deed which shows the sale of John KIDWELL's lands. (Dr. Kerns)
This could be a place to search for a connection for the Hawkins lineage.
Also on pg. 149 Dr. Kerns includes about 3 Hawkins families, which do not
directly mention this David, however, there could be a relationship assumed so would be of interest for an interested person of this family to further persue that information.   We have no further information on this families descendants at this time, Sept. 1992.

Kesiah Largent (Kizzie) HIETT

Kesiah never married.  Sent by Michael Charles.

Kizzie Largent Hiett
The daughter of the late James Walter and Margaret Largent Hiett, was born
August 30, 1883, at the home of her great grandfather, Jonathan Hiett, near
Great Capon, Morgan County and departed this life April 17, 1954, at the home
of a niece, Mrs. John Snarr.  She is also survived by two other nieces and a
nephew, Mrs. Harry H. Cookus, of St. Augustine, Florida;  Mrs. Hiram N.
VanVoohis, of Winchestere and James P. Shull of Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
Aunt Kizzie or "Teady" as she was familiarly known by her relatives and a
host of friends throughout Hampshire and Morgan counties, was of a cheerful and
witty disposition, and always willing and ready to help those in trouble.
She became a member of the Christian Church at the age of 18 and remained
firm in her faith until the end.  It is a happy thought that she met her Lord
the loved ones gone before at the glorious Easter season.
