He cames to Cadiz, Ohio with his father in 1815.
Edmond served in the War of 1812 as Captain of a company designated as "Captain Tipton's" a company of infantry under General Harrison. Col Rees Hills, Pennsylvania, Millitia. He served from 13 April to 5 November 1813. after the war he went to Ohio and took up a soldier's Land Grant.
