Mollie A. Truitt
Born January 8, 1902, passed from this life September 16, 1986.
Mollie was born in a farm home near Jamesport, Mo. fifth of nine children to Ira M. and Irena M. Huddleston Scott. She was united in marriage to Samuel W. Truitt December 24, 1925. no children were born to this union.
She was employed at Cook Paint and Varnish Co. and retired from there after many years of service. Her husband preceded her in death in 1973, also four brothers and one sister; Jim Scott in 1960, Dave Scott in 1968, John (Lew) Scott in 1969, Ethel Landes in 1978 and an infant brother, Walter Lloyd in 1910.
Surviving are three sisters, Myrtle Richards and Gertrude Bennett of Gallatin, Mo. Edna Perry of Kansas City, Mo., and many nephews, nieces and neighbors. Mollie was a friend to all and will be greatly missed by all who knew her-especially her very close neighbors who cared for her with her sister, Edna, day and night.
Mollie was a member of the Church of Christ who meet at Claycomo, Mo. She was baptized at an early age.
She is now at rest from the suffering that did beset her during the long illness caused by cancer.
